Payments and Refunds
How you pay for a trip, what happens to your money, and how a refund reaches you.
How you pay
On this website you pay with PayPal or with a debit or credit card, through PayPal’s secure checkout. We do not accept Apple Pay or Google Pay. You choose how much to pay today, from $1 up to the full trip price. A deposit of $100 or more secures your date and is not refundable.
You can also call us and pay a deposit by card over the phone.
The balance
Anything left after your online payment is paid at the dock on the day of your trip. You can also pay it online before your trip, or split it between your group: use the same trip and date on the booking page and add the name on the booking so we can match each payment.
Card and payment security
Payments are handled by PayPal. Your card number never reaches our website or our servers, and we never see or store it. Our server checks every amount against our price list before a payment is accepted.
Receipts and confirmation
When your payment goes through you land on a confirmation page with your booking reference, and we email you a receipt. You can print or save the confirmation as a PDF from that page. Keep the reference for anything you ask us.
Tips
A tip for your guide is optional and is not part of the trip price. If you add one it is charged with your payment.
Refunds and disputes
Your deposit is not refundable. If the captain cancels your trip for weather or safety you choose a new date or a full refund of what you paid. Both are set out in the terms, cancellation and weather policy. Refunds go back to the PayPal account or card you paid with.
If something looks wrong on a charge, call or text us first. Most things are fixed in one conversation.
Currency
All prices and payments are in US dollars.
